Blogger Spotlight: Aimee

1. When and why did you decided to become a book blogger/reviewer?
Reading has always been my biggest passion, even before I could read and write. I’ve fluttered with book blogging/reviewing since about 2015 and was hoping to really give it a proper go this year (not really happened due to work commitments and a massive reading slump). However, I just really want to share my passion for all of the books, hence why my little blog baby was born. Let’s hope 2018 is the year where I can really bring it to life.

2. What’s your favourite/ least favourite thing about book blogging?
My favourite thing about book blogging has got to be the fact that I have somewhere to shout about the books I read and love. Plus getting to know and be a part of a bookish community is a massive plus. My least favourite thing about book blogging is time. I don’t have an awful lot of time (or decent internet access) to spend on my blog and I feel like it could really blossom if I had some time that allowed me to create something magical.

3. What inspired your blog name?
The inspiration for my blog name came out of the things I adore most about life. Summer. Reading. Moonlight. Dreams. All of these things are unique and magical in their own right. Plus I find the best kind of memories and lessons are found in the most unexpected things. I just wanted a blog name that reflects on my biggest inspirations in life.

4. Who are your favourite authors?
Raving about my favourite authors is something I do well and I absolutely adore the fact that I can spread the love about some of the most inspirational authors out there. I literally could spend all day discussing my favourite authors, but instead I’m just going to mention the top 5 in no particular order.
Abi Elphinstone. For those of you who follow me on Twitter, you will know just how much love I have for this gorgeous and incredible woman. Abi has inspired me in so many ways, and ever since she bounded onto the bookish scene with her debut back in February 2015 I’ve rediscovered the magical spark that can be found within life itself as well as within the pages of a book.
Rachael Lucas. I discovered Rachael’s debut, Sealed with a Kiss, back in May 2014 and instantly fell in love with her writing. She had created a world which I was totally lost in when everything else in the real world was collapsing around me. Within her book, I found the strength & light I needed at that time to face reality head on. I didn’t know it at the time but it saved a part of me and reignited dreams of wanderlust that would have otherwise been lost. Rachael is such a lovely and beautiful woman, and she is another massive inspiration to me. Plus her Create Courage course sounds absolutely amazing. Sign me up please.
Melinda Salisbury. Slytherin. Queen to all of her readers. I don’t really need to say anymore to be honest….. Well I should say for you all to read her books.
Carrie Hope Fletcher. I could shout about all the reasons why Carrie is one of my favourites but I’m not gonna. Instead you should just check out her books & her YouTube channel because they are phenomenal. Plus if you ever get the chance to see her perform at a theatre then do it. You will not be disappointed.
J.K Rowling. For creating a place that will always be there to welcome me home.

5. How big is your TBR?
My TBR is just ridiculous. It’s at least treble my height, and that’s no exaggeration.

6. What are you currently reading?
I am currently reading The Miseducation of Cameron Post by Emily M. Danforth.

7. What do you do when you aren’t reading or blogging?
When I’m not reading or blogging, I am usually working or sleeping. Though there may be times when I can be found watching Netflix. However, the majority of the time I am working. I’d love that to change though so that I can have more time to spend on my blog.

8. A silly fact about you that people don’t already know.
Oh wow. Tough question. I once attempted a dive forward roll and just face planted the floor instead. It never knocked much sense into me though.

And there we have it folks! The next post in my new Blogger Spotlight series! I want to say a big thank you Aimee for answering my questions. I seriously suggest you check her out on Twitter and her lovely lovely blog. Keep an eye on the blog for more Blogger Spotlight posts coming everyday this week!

Peace and pages.
