1. When and why did you decided to become a book blogger/reviewer?
It was a few years ago, over on Tumblr. I had a couple of friends start book blogs and honestly I got tempted by their posts to start collating my reviews in a single place instead of threads on twitter that I would lose. I wasn’t sure about starting a blog at that time because it was my last year of uni, but I was talked into it. I switched over to WordPress last year, and I’m still trying to settle into a groove, but I see a slow and steady improvement in my posts and I’m having fun with blogging.
2. What’s your favourite/ least favourite thing about book blogging?
Least favourite is definitely trying to come up with new post ideas and hoping desperately I’m not unintentionally copying someone. Funnily enough, that’s also my favourite thing, because when I have a new idea, I get such a thrill.
3. What inspired your blog name?
The URL was taken from a quote from Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me – “I spent my life folded between the pages of books…” – which I absolutely love. The title was a play on that.
4. Who are your favourite authors?
At the moment, Amie Kaufman, Meagan Spooner, Marissa Meyer, Claudia Gray, Roshani Chokshi… I’m sure there are more, but those are who pop into mind first.
5. How big is your TBR?
B I G. I try not to see it because I get intimidated, honestly.
6. What are you currently reading?
An eARC I was approved for from NetGalley, Colorless by Rita Stradling.
7. What do you do when you aren’t reading or blogging?
Spend time with family, run errands, figure out the whole being a Mom thing…
8. A silly fact about you that people don’t already know.
Silly? Um, I am a huge klutz – used to be a bigger one as a kid – and have fractured the same toe (the little one!) twice in different places.
And there we have it lovelies! My first ever week of Blogger Spotlight posts.
