Evening my lovelies!
Today is really exciting because I am actually going to be participating in my first ever reading challenge! This is a very last minute post as I only heard about it half an hour ago and needed to get this up right away. The challenge runs from Sunday 15th of October to Sunday 12th of November is is hosted by Kelsey of Kelsey’s Cluttered Bookshelf, Alex of Book Daisy Reviews, Lauren of Live, Love, Read, and Erica of Escape Under the Cover. I will be joining Team Hufflepuff under Head Girl Kelsey. Here is my little Hogwarts Student Questionnaire;
Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff
Wand Type: Acacia wood, 10 3/4 inches in length, unicorn hair core and a quite bendy flexibility
Pet: A calico cat named Diggle (After Dedalus Diggle, member of the Order of the Phoenix)
Favorite Subject: Astronomy
Favorite Professor: Remus Lupin (❤️)
Here is the playing board
There are 7 main challenges (worth 20 points), one for each school year, which don’t have specific theme. I love this because I am such a mood reader! Alongside the 7 main challenges there are 13 bonus challenges (worth 10 points), each with a theme. I have written down what the themes are and which books I plan on reading for each. I am definitely not going to get around to reading all of these but I’m going to do my darnedest to get my Hufflepuff as many points as I can and while this isn’t the complete list, I have to try and be at least a little realistic with myself! Haha! I’ve also decided not to give myself a specific TBR for the main challenge as it will allow me to pick and chose as I please.
#Hufflepuff: Read a book that contains a strong friendship
One by Sarah Crossan
#Ravenclaw: Read a book that revolves around a mystery
Into the Water by Paula Hawkins
#Slytherin: Read a book set in a dystopian world
1984 – George Orwell
#Occlumency: Read a book about a character with magical abilities or superpowers
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
#Time Turner: Read a book set in the future or the past
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
#Fantastic Beasts: Read a spin-off to a beloved series
Heartless by Marissa Meyer
#Platform 9 3/4: Read a book that features travel
The Girl of Ink and Stars by Kiran Millwood Hargrave
#Dumbledore’s Army: Buddy-read a book with a friend or group
Wonder Woman Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo
I’m going to try to be realistic with how much I’ll be able to complete as part of the reading challenge as I work full time and study law full time. So it will certainly be a CHALLENGE but I am so looking forward to it! This’ll be my ever reading challenge and it’s Harry Potter themed! What’s not to love!
