Rapid Fire Book Tag

Hello my lovelies!

Today I am coming at’chya with a tag post! I was tagged by lovely Amy of the wonderful Golden Books Girl blog to do the Rapid Fire Book Tag and so here it is!

P.S 10 points to the person that correctly guesses the amount of times I reference Harry Potter in this tag…..

On to the questions!

1. eBook or physical books?
It would definitely be physical books for me, though I do read a lot of eBooks while on holiday (for practical reasons).

2. Paperback or hardback?
My answer for this is one very different to Amy’s. I bloody LOVE hardbacks. You can read them over and over agin without ever creasing the spine! And while they might be cumbersome, that doesn’t put me off!

3. Online or in-store book shopping?
I tend to buy online more often than from shops, purely because its convenient. But I love nothing more than going into a bookstore, I just wish I had more time to do it!

4. Trilogies or series?
I love a good series. I think the length allows for more character development making for a better experience.

5. Heroes or villains?
Heroes, definitely. Though I really do prefer heroes that are slightly unreliable and sometimes make you question their motives.

6. A book you want everyone to read?
A book that I’ve never seen written about in the blogosphere is I Am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes. Its a great action-packed thriller. I have a review of it right here if you’d like to read my thoughts on it.

7. Recommend an underrated book?
I did the same as Amy for this one hahaha! Please see the above answer….

8. The last book you finished?
The last book I finished was Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu. Wow. Review coming soon on that one!

9. The last book you bought?
I can’t remember the last time I bough just one book at a time… You can check out my latest book haul right here.

10. Weirdest thing you’ve ever used as a bookmark?
I’m a bit of a weirdo… I have never ever used anything other than a bookmark as a bookmark.

11. Used books: yes or no?
It really does depend on the condition of the books. I take insanely good care of my books, so much so you couldn’t even tell they’d been read. So battered books are a no go for me I’m afraid!

12. Three favourite genres?
Young adult (/new adult/middle grade), poetry and non-fiction. I’m not cheating at all, right?!

13. Borrow or buy?
Buy, for sure. Two reasons for this. I’m terrible at taking things back on time (I have incurred many a fine in my time) and because how am I supposed to grow my home library if I have to take them back?!

14. Characters or plot?
That’s like asking to chose your favourite child! How mean! I honestly couldn’t chose between the two.

15. Long or short books?
I like both at different times. Longer books for when the nights are darker and I can read for longer. Shorter when I want to read but have too much school work to do!

16. Long or short chapters?
Short chapters. Again, I’m a little weird. I like to read to an even numbered chapter before I put the book down for the night. Short chapters make this much easier.

17. Name the first 3 books you think of.
The Language of Flowers, The Stand and Harry Potter (let’s be honest, that was the first one that came to mind!)

18. Books that made you laugh or cry?
Laugh – Ummm, I don’t really read comedy books, or books that make me laugh… maybe thats a little depressing and I need to change that. Leave your suggestions in the comments!
Cry – Harry Potter (duh), A Monster Calls, The Hate U Give. I could go on forever!

19. Our world or fictional worlds?
Fictional. Because anything is possible within those worlds and lets be honest, ours has gone down the pan of late.

20. Audiobooks; yes or no?
YES! I spend hours a day in the car and so Audiobooks are an absolute must for me!

21. Do you ever judge a book by it’s cover?
I mean I should probably say no, but I’d be lying. I definitely do.

22. Book to movie or TV adaptations?
I dont have a preference really. I don’t really watch many films or much TV, unless its Harry Potter related…

23. Movie/TV show you preferred to its book?
I don’t really have an answer to this one!

24. Series or standalone’s?
As I said earlier, it really does depend on the situation and how much work I have to do. If I’m busy standalone’s are great but if I have time on my hands I love nothing more than a good series.

I tag you!

I really hope you enjoyed reading my answers! I tag Lucy and Christina if they’d like to do this.

Peace and pages

I think you mention Harry Potter 3 times, but I’m rubbish at maths so I may be wrong 😂
