Hello my loves!
As I said in my earlier post, I’ve been absent from blogging for some time. This meant that I totally missed the O.W.Ls readathon that was created by Book Roast. I now have the chance to catch up on all things wonderful things I haven’t had a chance to take part in. In addition to this readathon, I have taken part in one Harry Potter themed readathon before. You can check out my posts here.
The lovely Luna has agreed to take part with me. Now she has already completed hers, but will be catching up on some of the ones she didn’t get around to reading during the readathon.
The Challenge
Now, I could try to explain how this readathon works to you and you either already know, or I will make it sound far too complicated. So for all the information you need, check out this brilliant document created by Book Roast.
My TBR
Now, there are 12 subjects in total and so 12 books to read. I hope to get to all of these but who knows what will happen! I’ll be starting the challenge on the 1st of July and going all month.
Ancient Runes – Truth Sister by Phil Gilvin
Arithmancy – Sleeper 13 by Rob Sinclair
Astronomy – The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers
Care of Magical Creatures – The Nowhere Emporium by Ross McKenzie
Charms – The Wicked Deep by Shea Earnshaw
Defence Against the Dark Arts – The Roanoke Girls by Amy Engel
Divination – Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
Herbology – The Water Cure by Sophie Mackintosh
History of Magic – The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris
Muggle Studies – The Story of the Last Slave by Zora Neale Hurston
Potions – Alchemist by Paul Coelho
Transfiguration – Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli.
And there we have it! My planned TBR for the O.W.Ls readathon. The ones that I have italicised are the ones that I will be focusing in first, either due to them being books I have to read for blog tour or because they are the subjects that I want to follow on with for the N.E.W.Ts in August.
Have you taken part in the readathon? Are you planning on participating in the N.E.W.Ts too? I’d love to know.
Peace and pages
Amy

[…] In the 5 months between July and December, I actually participated in 6 readathons /reading challenges (4 of which were month-long challenges). I managed to complete most (if not all) of them, which is one of the primary reasons I am not setting myself a strict TBR this month. You can check out those posts here: Non-fiction November, Spookathon, Charms Extra Credit, Big Book September, NEWTS and OWLS. […]
