Good morning my loves!

I think this past year I set too strict reading goals for myself, making them difficult to stick to. The plan this year is to set more generic goals so that my TBR for the year isn’t so restricted as it has been this year.

2018 Goals:
– read around the world
I made it one of my goals this year to read a book set or written by and author from everything country in the world. Now while this wasn’t a complete failure, I didn’t manage to read all that many. I did manage to read a few and plan of continuing on with this goal into 2019.
read more classics
I honestly thought I’d done better with this challenge this year than I had actually done. While I may actually have read more classics than I did last year, I only managed 4. I have enjoyed the ones I’ve read though and so plan on continuing this through 2019.
– Sherlock Holmes
Yup. Nothing to say on this one. Failed miserably. Maybe I’ll try again in the future.

2019 Goals:
– read 52 books
– read more backlist books (this is in order to reduce the number of unread books I own)
– buy/ received less than I read every month (again, to reduce the number of unread books I own)

And there we have it, my catch-up for my 2018 resolutions and my reading plans for 2019. I’ve decided to be gentler on myself in 2019. I think if I have more relaxed plans then maybe I’ll be more likely to achieve them!

Peace and pages
Amy

  1. Great goals! I always struggle to read the classics as a book blogger, because I always get sucked into opening the last releases from Netgalley, but it’s definitely something I should be doing more 😀
