My Favourite Books

My 2018 Favourites: 2018 Releases

Happy Christmas Eve loves!

I’m not really one for festive posts and so this post marks the first of three 2018 favourites. There were so many incredible books that I read this year that narrowing the list down to only 5 was so difficult. I don’t know how many times i had to write and rewrite this list, so much so that this list is in no particular order. I read so many 5 star books this year that it actually bumped my average up to 4.3 (at the time of writing). And so, even having read 140+ books in 2018, the quality definitely lived up to the quantity.

The Burning Chambers by Kate Mosse // The Overstory by Richard Powers // Normal People by Sally Rooney // Educated by Tara Westover // The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton

And there we have it, my favourites of 2018 that were published this year! On Wednesday I’ll have my favourite backlist books and on Friday there’ll be an honorable mentions were I talk about the best proofs I’ve read this year. Have you written a post containing all of your favourites I would love to see them. Leave your links in the comments!

Peace and pages

  2. I have three of these books on my TBR, seeing you rate them so high has me super excited since our tastes are usually really similar.

  3. Educated is a 2018 favourite of mine also – one of those books I keep returning to in my mind long after finishing.
