Good morning my loves!
I hope you’ve had a good week and have a lovely weekend planned. Today’s post is a tag, seeing as I haven’t done one in a while, I thought I’d give this one a go. This tag was originally posted by Cait at PaperFury.
Book you own but haven’t read yet?
Okay, this is a funny question. I have so many unread books. This year I’m joining in on the Beat the Backlist challenge to reduce the number of owned but unread I have. At the time of writing this post I have probably 300 unread books, not all fit in with Beat the Backlist. The most recent books I’ve hauled are these beauties:

Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor // The Truth and Triumphs of Grace Atherton by Anstey Harris
Books your friends love?
I’m taking this question as fellow bookish blogger friends. Since starting this blog there is one group whose taste in books mirrors my own so closely it’s actually a bit scary! Luna, Jenna, Reg and I love so many of the same books! I think that probably helps the buddy-reading group we have!

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins-Reid // If We Were Villains by M L Rio // Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstance by Ruth Emmie Laing
Book by an author you love?
These three brilliant women are some of my favourite authors of all time. I’ve read almost everything they’ve ever published, but not all. Yet.

City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab // Night Waking by Sarah Moss // Adele by Leila Slimani
Book at the bottom of the TBR?
Honestly? I don’t have a TBR list like that. Of course there are some that I am dying to read more so than others, but really I want to read them all! Which is why I’m giving the Beat the Backlist challenge this year….
Book with colour in the title?
I love how gorgeous these three books look together, it’s super dark and alluring!

Red Snow by Will Dean // The Woman in Black by Susan Hill // Red Queen by Christina Henry
Book set somewhere you’d like to visit?
I dare you to find me someone on this planet that has read Nevermoor and doesn’t want to go there. Go on, they do not exist. Jamaica. I’ve always wanted to visit the Caribbean, but specifically Jamaica, it looks so wonderful. Lastly we have Micronesia. Probably not the most common of places, but it’s basically made up of hundreds of little islands in the Pacific Ocean.

Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend // Jamaica Inn by Daphne du Maurier // The People in the Trees by Hanya Yanagihara
Most collected author
These three need no introduction. All time favourites right here.

JK Rowling // Margaret Atwood // Ben Aaronovitch
Mismatched series?
Absolutely no way. Next question.
Book you love but don’t remember well
I read all of these books so many years ago, I’m sure I’m due for a reread sometime in the very near future!

And there we have it! The Bare My Bookshelf Tag! I would love to have been able to actually take proper pictures of the books for this post, but by the time I get home it’s usually too dark to get anything close to decent. Maybe I’ll invest in a decent camera and light system soon…
I’d love to see your answers to these questions, so leave a link to you posts below!
Peace and pages

Like you I’d be hard pressed to choose just one for the question “Book you own but haven’t read yet?” even though my collection of owned-but-unread books is a bit lower than yours…..

It’s crazy isn’t it! I’ll be making a great effort to reduce that number!

[…] Since I finally cataloged my books last year and now I’m trying to read through some of them with Beat the Backlist, it’s only right that I bare my bookshelf! This tag was originally posted on PaperFury and I last saw it at Tomes with Tea. […]

This is a really good tag! I will give it a go soon 🙂 I’ve been trying to reduce my GoodReads backlist recently as I will never be able to read that many books. Strange the Dreamer is still sat waiting to be read!
