Good morning my loves!
I am thrilled to be writing this post today. Finally, the OWLS 2019 readathon is heeeerrreeeeee! All of the Magical Readathons are run by the lovely G at Book Roast and this year, I have to say it, she was well and truly OUTDONE herself. She has put an incredible amount of work into it and it’s just making me ever more excited! If you’d like to watch the announcement video, you can find that here.
G has created a gorgeous prompts list which you can find right here, along with the necessary requirements for wizarding careers, in preparation for the NEWTS readathon in August, head here if you want to check them out!
As for my TBR, I’ve gone with picking a book for each of the prompts. I’d like to think I’ll be able to read them all, that when I can pick my NEWTS TBR, I have all my options open for all careers! So here we are, the books that I am hoping to read during the readathon.

Ancient Runes – Retelling
The Surface Breaks by Louise O’Neill
Arithmancy – Written by more than one author
I Am Heathcliff: Stories Inspired by Wuthering Heights curated by Kate Mosse
Astronomy – ‘Star’ in the title
The Fox and the Star by Coralie Bickford-Smith

Care of Magical Creatures – Land animal on the cover
Fierce Fairytales by Nikita Gill
Charms – Read an adult work
On the Other Side of Freedom by Deray Mckesson
Defence Against the Dark Arts – Title starts with an ‘R’
Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier

Divination – Set in the future
The Time Machine by H G Wells
Herbology – Plant on the cover
The Strawberry Thief by Joanne Harris
History of Magic – Published at least 10 years ago
Suffragette: My Own Story by Emmeline Pankhurst

Muggle Studies – Contemporary
My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite
Potions – Read a sequel
The Vanishing Stair by Maureen Johnson
Transfiguration – Sprayed edges or red cover
Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
Will you be joining in with the Magical Readathons this year? I really love them and if I can’t join in with all of the other readathons, I always make sure I participate in both the OWLS and the NEWTS! I’d love to see your TBR if you have one!
Peace and pages
Amy

I will participate in the OWLS readathon this year and I’ve chosen the Magizoologist career. I haven’t decided which books to read yet but my TBR will be uploaded this week. I haven’t read any of the books on your TBR but Strange the Dreamer is a book that I’m excited to pick up as soon as I get the chance to read it. Good luck with the readathon! 🙂

I am excited to read Fierce Fairytales by Nikita Gill next month! Also, I am curious to see what you think about The Time Machine and Strange the Dreamer. Best of luck reading all of these books, although you read so quickly you will most likely read even more lol.

I really should have paid attention to where you had My Sister The Serial Killer. I still haven’t read the synopsis so I put it under adult book but I may change it now so I can put Daisy Jones in this TBR…. I’m also reading The Time Machine!
Good luck getting through all of them! Excited to see what you think about them!

This is an ambitious list! Lots of great sounding books on there.
I’m doing OWLs too. Aiming to be a Hogwarts professor but if I get through all the books I plan to read I might try to fit in some extra subject.

That’s not bad! I’ve ticked everything off my TBR except Snowflakes and Lemmings so I’m doing ok. I might sit some extra exams
