Good morning my loves,
Okay, so you may (may not) have noticed that I haven’t posted anything regularly this month. I had planned to do this epic year-long indie appreciation thing – which I am still kinda doing by buying books from indie publishers, by indie authors at indie bookshops etc. The posts that I had planned however have, sadly, fallen by the wayside.
There have been a couple of things going on with me in the month of September that I had not foreseen. Hindsight is 20/20 they say isn’t it? Well, there has been a period of particularly poor mental health, work stress (what a shock), I have adopted a little cat named Atticus (who is just the most wonderful thing, and is doing incredible things for my anxiety), university has started again which is always stressful and a myriad of other things which have led me in some way or another to neglect most leisure activities, never mind my little blog.
While I would love to say that everything is all good. I can’t, not just yet anyway. Things are still unsettled and may be for a little time to come. I am hoping that posting this today will alleviate some of the worry that has built up within me about posting (after not doing so for a while). I have been posting blog tour posts and will continue to do so, but it might be the case that I reduce the number of posts that I plan to go live each month reduce from 8 to 4 (not including blog tours). Again, I’m not going to set things in stone just in case that hikes up my anxiety again. This is going to be a bit of trial and error for a while until I settle into a routine that works for me.
So here’s so the coming months. I have some really exciting blog tours to participate in and I’m looking forward to sharing those with you. In September I am chairing a couple of events at a wonderful literary festival (and I am also in the very *VERY* early discussions about organising a crime festival in Wales, which promises to be exceedingly exciting). So, ONWARDS AND UPWARDS!
Peace and pages
